A steam locomotive train is a railway locomotive that produces its pulling force through a steam engine.
These locomotives fueled by burning combustible material such as coal/coke, wood, or oil to produce steam in a boiler. The steam moves zig zag pistons which are mechanical joint to the locomotive’s train’s main wheels.
Both fuel and water supplies are carried with the locomotive train, on the locomotive itself or in wagons pulled back.
The first steam locomotive train, made by Richard Trevithick, first drived on 21 February 1804,three years after the road locomotive he made in 1801.
Steam locomotives were first Invented in Great Britain during the starting of 19th century and used for railway transport until the mid 20th century.
From the start of 1900s they slowly superseded by electric and diesel locomotives train, with full conversions to electric and diesel power starting from the 1930s.
The majority of steam locomotives train were decommission from regular service by the 1980s, though several continue to run on tourist and heritage lines purpose.
